Do people give you a hard time about it? I get it a lot. People seem to expect me to get up somewhere between 6-7am just because they have to. I think they are jealous. Anyway, I do have to fight the urge to tell them to "shut the fuck up" when they rib me about it because I think that my schedule is fantastic.
BTW, Amsterdam is a city in a country called the Netherlands. ;)
Yes! People also expect me to get up around that time.
People can't seem to understand that a person can sleep all day and not be lazy or that a person who stays up all night isn't doing it on purpose and can be fully function the next day.
I have relatives that when we go on holidays, they insist that we get up at 6 and be ahead of everyone else. It's crazy! Just because it doesn't work for you doesn't mean it couldn't work for someone else.
Me too! :)
The Netherlands has always been on my hit-list of destinations to travel to. Unfortunately, my traveling companion seems to only want to go to tropical locations. I'm going to get myself a different companion, ha, ha, ha.
I learned in a psychology class that there are two distinct groups of people and both are normal: ones who love to get up early and those who don't. I think it infuriates me that people give me a difficult time about it because I feel as though they are implying that I'm lazy: which is so not the case. My father is the worst of them, but then again, he does and says a lot of stuff that makes my blood boil. I have no problem getting up early for a job or an appointment, but if those things are not interfering with my schedule, then I'll sleep how and when I please.
Oh gosh, I'm clenching my teeth as I tell you about this. It's such a petty thing to be so annoyed about.
What time of day do you wake up?
