I find some music very soothing. I have some medition CDs that create a nice calm. However Pachelbel's Canon in D works every time.
If I'm feeling angry or bored though I always put on king of carrot flowers pt 2 and 3, always puts me in a good mood especially the look on peoples faces when they think i've gone all religious on them haha

I fuckin love Oh Comely. Sometimes I just sing the second verse out loud to myself at work.
Crest is another really relaxing song by them. Oh upwards ovet the mountain by iron and wine is an amazing and relaxing song. oh and also by iron and wine is the sea and the rhythm and weary memory they're the songs that help me when I can't sleep they pretty much put me to sleep, but in a good way. I know what you mean about music creating emotion whenever I finish my favorite album I always get the same feeling and as cheesy as it sounds I will never forget first hearing it. Haha sorry i've rambled a bit,I could talk music all day if I'm in the right mood
