Hello, I am a senior in high school and throughout all of my childhood, I have had trouble fitting in with kids my age. I usually end up hanging out with "different kids", I would like to know how to make friends during my last year of school.
Not look for acceptance in the first place.
Just be yourself :) And you can make friends
The important thing is that you have friends already. You dont HAVE to be friends with everyone.
Friends tend to switch around senior year. I would say find someone you like and start talking to them. Then see how that goes. This is as much about them as about you, and you may find some people you thought were intetesting who aren't so much or vice versa or totally different. The classic advice is do social activities for things you like, like join a club or go to a place with other people there that is catered to your interest, that way you find people with that interest too. Ultimately you want to go in with low expectation, not making a friend should never be a let down. Just say you will have fun going alone and if you meet someone new that is a bonus. PS, next year the different kids become the cool ones
