I disagree. If you two are "meant to be" then theres no reason to believe your "paths will cross later".
To the OP: You should respect their relationship, but respect your own feelings too. So you should tell her, but in a respectful way! (I.e. don't get her drunk and start making out). You don't know if there ever be a better chance.
