What should i do

My duaghter is 13 and latley she hasnt been eating her dinner or only takes 2 bites. She has been getting really skinny as well as her best friend. I think they might be going anorexic together. when i asked my duaghter about it she will keep avoiding the question. What should i do? Is it normal for her to be going anorexic when she was already less than 100 pounds at the age of 13?

Sounds like anorexia to me. You should show her some websites or get her to a doctor or something. I was anorexic for a while, and then I saw some awful pictures and read about side effects and stuff like that. Scared the crap out of me! Like growing facial hair... that bothered me!! I didn't want that to happen. I'm slowly getting better. But yeah, maybe if you scare her with the hard facts about anorexia, she might think twice about it. Same with her friend!

Befriend buxom, rubenesque women and line them up to be mentors to your daughter.

  • thats fucked up, and ITS ALREADY OUT OF CONTROL!

trust me I know about these things. It seems to already have gotten bad and you need to get help for both of them.

It will take a long time for her to recover because she has trained her mind not to want to eat anymore. DO THIS BEFORE SHE FUCKS HER LIFE UP!!!!!!!

She is so young. I know that you know getting to her before anything gets out of control is vital not only to the rest of her physical, mental and emotional development but to her life. It doesn't take much now for younger and younger girls to feel like they don't measure up to societal standards. Be her unconditional foundation of love so that she knows her worth is never measured by her appearance or a number on a scale. Seek help yourself if you feel overwhelmed and study up so that you know the facts.

I agree with the other comments, but I'd like to also point out that this is the age when some girls can go through a phase like that. Not to say you shouldn't be worried, though.

I think that talking to an ex anorexic might help. Otherwise she won't take it seriously and when she does it might be too late.

It doesn't matter how much a person weighs to have an eating disorder. How long has this been going on for? It is a lot easier to treat before it goes spirling out of contorl.

I wouldn't pester her about it too much.
