I can't believe I'm going to say this but I agree. Why should we continue to allow people to destroy themselves with alcohol addiction? I think some people are too weak to make these decisions for themselves. I mean let's face it we don't live in a true democracy. We're not really free. Tear down the fascade. So we take away people's right to drink? How many lives are saved? How many children aren't beat by their abusive alcoholic parents? How many hit and run DUIs never happen? How many people won't need an $85,000 hepatitis cure? I feel the same way about cigarettes. Oh God don't get me started on corporate America...
In the end I know your right. History has proved it over and over and not just here in the States. It's just how I feel about the whole thing. I'm not an idiot. Lol. And don't get me started on the war on drugs. Thanks Nixon.

That was tried with the 18th Amenment and failed miserably. During Prohibition drunken disorderly arrests actuallyincreased.

You're making the same argument that the DEA makes,'' because the war on drugs is going so well''
there are countries were they execute drug dealers and it doesn't even slow the drug traffic down.
If people want to use harmful substances like booze and drugs it is impossible to stop them, its best to just try and regulate it rather than ban it.
