I believe inanimate objects have souls, or at least some sort of essence about them that we don't fully comprehend. An obvious example would be automobiles. Many people treat their automobiles like they have feelings, understandings and even reactions (i.e. I always say my car is happy after I've washed it and it drives unhappy after I've let my boyfriend drive it.)And then there are the people who hump cars when they're drunk. Same with my computer - anytime someone else uses it, even for normal, unharmful stuff, it seems to start having problems just because it doesn't like anyone else using it. It never fails.
I don't put a lot of belief in this, but it wouldn't surprise me much to learn that objects can somehow, in some strange way, evaluate their surroundings.. especially mechanical objects.
I also think such feelings for objects are more common than is pronounced, although object sexuals take this notion much further than most. We do live in a materialistic society.
What's your opinion on Object sexuality and Animism? IIN?
