  • I think it depends on what the hypnosis is used for.

    • I don't see how a parent hypnotising a child could possibly be a good thing: it sounds like a control issue to me with a powerful adult exercising control over a child's mind

      • Yeah, I see what you mean. I think maybe hypnosis would be good if the kid had a problem that could benefit from hypnosis, and the kid wanted it.

Did you watch the video? The hypnotist lady said she has used it on her own kids, and I think the way she used it was excessive.

        • Nah, I couldn't be bothered and felt capable of forming an opinion without having to do so .....lazy, eh?

          • It's not that lazy. I'm pretty lazy, but that's probably because of a combination of depression, anxiety, fatigue and recent myofascial pain flare ups just to scratch the proverbial surface.

            • I guess lazy wasn't the right word to use: it's really because I'm tired and feeling my age (including some new aches and pains on top of heart and lung conditions) and hassles from my landlord and family hassles ......

              • Gosh, I'm sorry to hear that. Stress can make pain way worse!

I had two flare ups of my myofascial pain since I found out on Saturday evening that my ex tried to contact my father twice last week, and on Saturday a friend of his family called me. Neither my father, nor myself accepted any of the calls, and they didn't leave messages, nor send texts. I thought I was okay when I first saw my phone ringing, but later after I found out he tried to contact my dad twice I had a massive panic attack driving down the road to the grocery store.

I'm wondering what the Hell these people could want, but also not wanting to talk to them of course.

          • Well, you weren't yo far off. The video was kinda short and pretty good though.

The one lady and her kid hired the hypnotist to help him with his ADD which I thought was reasonable. However, it seemed to me that the hypnotist had used hypnosis on her own kids for just about everything ever since they were infants and that kinda makes my skin crawl. Too many people treat children like property, but it's nothing new as people have done that for centuries. Call me crazy, but I'm a fan of free will, and I don't think an infant is able to give consent as to whether or not he or she is ok with being hypnotized.

    • Depending on the person is true, but if anything I am for having all the trouble of raising a child and block out the stuff that is bad like how they say its supposed to do.
