What's your opinion on furries?

Being pro-furry is 500x funnier than being anti-furry, which is the only thing that matters

Furries? I wouldn't even start with a furry. They act like animals and I disapprove.

Apart from a small subsection that are into kinky stuff (and there are kinks in every fandom), isn't it just people who like watching and cosplaying as anthropomorphic animals? How is anyone who cosplays as a pokémon not then technically a furry?

Could someone tell me what is especially awful about the 'mainstream' furry scene? I'm thinking that maybe I just don't have the full picture.

I have no problem with it at all.

I once visited an old friend of mine through facebook. When I entered her room it smelled like shit. Then I saw her fursuit hanging and it all started to make sense.

They creep me out but it's none of my business and they're not in my friend group anyway so doesn't bother me

I suppose I'm rather indifferent to the whole furry thing, but it's more enjoyable to be disapproving than not on this one.

I've never known anyone who was opposed to furries that wasn't a perpetually butthurt square that nobody would want to befriend anyway.

I'm technically a furry myself, and I still disapprove. Too much drama, infighting, mental issues, and medical issues. You would think most of the problems among furries come from outside: people who just don't "understand" furries and think they're weird. It doesn't.

Here's a quick thought experiment. Consider a group with a thousand subsects, but nearly every single one of them thinks all 999 of the other subsects are brain-damaged. Then mix in predators and the general LGBT community. That's the furry community.

I like them, they don't do any harm. They just have fun doing their own thing, so good for them. Plus I think it's all just very colourful and whimsical, they make the world a bit brighter and a little less serious.
