But yes I think it's silly, and you and other commenters are totally right. By constantly giving these women (and men) attention, you're just making them sound louder and more present than they actually are.
I've said this so many times, but the fastest way to kill outrage-culture and political correctness is to just ignore it. Let these easily offended snowflakes bitch and whine, bark all they want, and you just carry on your life as normal and refuse to change for them. You don't even need to (and shouldn't, because it'll just play into their narrative) be deliberately offensive, just refuse to back down and change when you think they're being unreasonble. Eventually, these people will learn they're not getting anywhere, and will hopefully get over it.
The same as how you train a screaming little kid who throws tantrums to get your attention tbh. They have to get used to not being given they attention they want. If they know that sitting on the internet bitching about "microaggressions" gets them attention, they'll keep doing it.
But by playing into it, giving these people attention and (on The Left), taking them seriously, we've created a situation where they do have power, and play into horrible darker forces on The Right. I think this is going to have consequences for decades ahead, now.
