In 7th grade, I read college chemistry books to learn how to make bombs and explosives. Fortunately much of the text dealt with safety. I became know as a master bomb maker, safely detonating many bombs for the amusement of my friends. It really put a BANG into my childhood.
By 9th grade, I had graduated to reading sniper manuals and learning anti-police evasion tactics. We would call the police, falsely accusing ourselves of disorderly conduct just so we could evade the cops when they came to get us. Surprisingly, the military evasion tactics always worked. It was great fun.
The cops would probably disagree with you. But then I can imagine they felt professionally embarrassed being out classed by precision tactics of 14 year old kids.
What's the weirdest thing you and/or your friends did while young?
