I have a human skull carved in whale ivory that is 100% perfect in every detail, right down to missing teeth. The sailor who carved it, sometime in the early 1840's, must have had a real skull to copy from. It's about 1 1/2 inches. Or else it's a Papuan shrunken head; who knows?
