We have neurons which form clusters which help us interact with our daily environments with increasing success
It may not be exactly as written by Jung, but his concept of the collective unconscious is most definitely a valid theory to work with. It outlines a sense of the world in a uniquely human way, with archetypes and memes (actual psychosocial thing)
We all have a subconscious, what some may also call a conscience, that guides us and gives us divine truth if we listen
All of us have these characteristics and more in common, so at a base level it's everyone's predestination to develop
And like you said, leaving behind something better than what you were born into is something else I think we also all acknowledge as a virtuous trait. There's this concept called global consciousness, basically the average of every person's mindset on the planet. There's a story that goes along with it about Atlantis, but another human trait I think exists is the idea to promote intelligence and logic so that we all become better people. It's also like the opposite of arguing and fighting, which paints it in a very positive light even without the spirituality aspect
I believe in the real world application of karma and the golden rule and even people looking out for negativity in a communal way, so naturally I also think it's our duty as people to be morally, ethically good, be like a fountain of positive energy for ourselves and others
And this may be something personal and not a standard, but I also want to be satisfied with my life when I die. I want to think about everything and shut my eyes in peace. That's why I'm so invested in self improvement and practicing perfecting in everything I do
What's the purpose of life for you?
