What's the most vomit inducing thing you've ingested?

For me, it was when I drank a tablespoon of castor oil straight, to treat my constipation more naturally.

It was the thickest oil that I've ever seen. The taste was so nauseating.

The feel of it in my mouth and going down, combined with the taste was shockingly sick inducing.

I shuddered when the thick oil filled my senses.

The fact that basically the only thing I have to do to avoid the castor oil is eat more delicious beans is wonderful.

One of my pills is "peppermint" flavoured. When I read that on booklet, dumbfuck here thinks, "I like peppermint!"

It tasted like burning and death and regret and burning. Not even a hint of peppermint. And the taste stuck to my tongue, no matter how I brushed or what I ate or drank, for like...2 days.

And I have to take one of those motherfuckers twice a day for the rest of my goddamn life. I try not to taste them, but the smell when I open the bottle...it's overpowering. Ugh.

    • Have you ever tried to drop it in your throat, then rinse it down?

I don't put it in my mouth til I have water now, and I hold it between my teeth away from my tongue. It's the smell that gets me now, not small amount of taste I get from my teeth.

Wow! If you don't mind me asking for what is the pill taken? I have to take thyroid medication for the rest of my life.

Right now I have to take about seven different medications. I have to take medication for depression, anxiety(only as needed), thyroid, acid reflux, two for high blood pressure, and two for allergies. I would honestly love to get shots for my allergies to help make me immune, but I think that is expensive unfortunately. I also hope to get off of the high blood pressure medication, because I hate it, and I'm kinda planning to join a gym in the hopes that I will one day not need it anymore.

It's spironolactone. I take it for PCOS. I also take a thyroid pill, but other than sometimes I'm dumb and put it in my mouth before I have water and it dissolves cos it's tiny, it doesn't taste bad.

The gym should help with the BP. They don't have to be for life, depending on how you manage it and your situation. I'm not a doctor, so I wouldn't presume to say that's a given, but from my limited knowledge and experience, it is possible. Just make sure you're careful and don't over exert yourself too quickly. See if you can get some personal training for a few sessions to set you up on a few personalised routines. That's what I did when I started. I had a herniated disc at the time, and needed to know what was safe and what would best strengthen. Same as if your BP is high, you don't want to do anything that's going to overload you and make you pass out.

What do you take for the reflux? My doctor put me on one cos I had a cough (?) and I have reflux on occasion, but the two weren't related (as I suspected. I wasn't remotely concerned by the cough but oh well. Only took it two weeks. Now I get by on Quikeze and Equate's version of Tums. My boyfriend takes...omeprazole? I'll have to google it. I don't like taking extra shit cos I take a few for PCOS and my thyroid and I'm concerned, particularly with the thyroid one, about contraindications.

I used to take Nexium, but now I take Zantac. I have on occasion wondered if I might have something like PCOS.

It's possible. My ultrasound was inconclusive, but I got my diagnosis based off of bloodwork and symptoms. I get the hormonal side of it pretty bad (hense the anti androgen), but I apparently don't have any more cysts than the average woman. Go figure. Not sure I trust that doctor, but no other doctor since seems too concerned so meh.

I once got food poisoning from a bad Chinese seafood buffet. I knew something was seriously wrong when I started feeling like I was on drugs on the drive home. I probably should have seen a doctor, but I was unemployed at the time, and so I just stayed home, but I was stick for at least a week.

When I was like, 10 I came home from Trick-or-Treating. I put one of the mini dark chocolate Hershey pieces in my mouth only to realize that it tasted way past due. I spat it out and almost puked. Then there was that time I drank a bottle of Crystal Pepsi that was over a decade old. I don't remember much of that one, yet everyone else I know remembers that day clearly. XD
