Empathy. Its the basis of compassion, kindness, respect and also supports authenticity.

Theres too much suffering in this world to cry about every injustice. Best we can do is hope for a better tomorrow whether it's by helping our fellow man or killing those who are trying to enforce their way of life on others. Both are acceptable use of compassion, kindness and empathy.

The ironic thing here is that most people dont want to be evil. It just so happens their version of good is my version of evil. Thus you are always going to disappoint someone.

aren't you doing the same as them by killing them?

    • hypocritical coming from the dude who constantly sexualizes women, is blatantly racist towards black people and stands for white supremacist ideals. Those are your beliefs, of course, but they're definitely not respectful.

You know a someones crazy when they say you "sexualize women" as if any non homosexual man with a healthy level of testosterone doesnt 😂.

I never claimed to have that "good trait". But really I am respectful to people when I meet them. Im not gonna go out of my way and trust someone who I dont know. But if I meet any black guy or muslim guy I'm not gonna be a dick to them just based on race or their religion. Im gonna be nice. Doesnt mean I'm gonna automatically trust them either.

No because people can be consistently horrible and because I don't mind people mixing it up a bit.

I think what I find the most outright attractive is something I can't describe that's just there. After that commonalities because it makes things smooth and fun. After that creativity. After that... maybe intelligence. I'm a bit iffy on that one. It can no doubt be attractive but in some ways it's no different than looks in that it's something you can improve a bit with work but that you're basically just born with it. Then again maybe all traits are like that in the end.

I went with empathy though because if she doesn't have empathy I don't give a damn how much she has of any of that.

True, my girlfriend is a sack of happiness. Quite the opposite force when compared to me. Opposites do attract in that regard. She also handles most of my human interactions so that helps immensely.

We are animals. The most desired trait is related to acceptance, which would be to be someone attractive, therefore, beautiful.

What's the distinction from regular intelligence?

      Comment Hidden ( show )

      • dude_Jones

Same thing except intelligence that finds solutions that benefit all people. It recognizes solutions that benefit some people at the expense of others and suppresses those net zero ideas.

Unfortunately some problems cant be solved with no loser. To recognize this is to recognize reality.

Not saying you cant try but it might not benefit you to see someone else prosper.

Such as giving financial aid to North Korea, sure the famine is bad and hundreds of thousands are starving but giving to an authoritarian dictatorship will still cost more in the long term.

          • dude_Jones

High intelligence recognizes this reality, and concentrates on the other things that spur growth and efficiency for everyone. Examples in the past have been things like container shipping, birth control pills, GPS satellites, and silicon wafer fabrication. Of course, these technologies caused tremendous growth and changes to society that distributed results unevenly. That's fine. But these solutions are not even close to net zero.

Intelligent problem solvers are usually the first to recognize and avoid a can-of-worms when one exists. They are looking for potential opportunities for forward progress.

I promote using ethics in our scientific community, while it will make progress slower science was never a quick process. Though I do promote ethics we have to be extremely careful of the ethics that are chosen since all it takes is one generation to nudge us off course of our original intention.

Even a vegetable (person) has a brain.

I assume you mean someone with common sense. Having a brain is a standard that all living and technically living persons have. So it's a low standard.
