What's the deal with the schoolgirl double-standard?

So the Schoolgirl is one of the most popular sexy outfits a woman can wear, either for Halloween or role-playing in the bedroom. However, society, and law for that matter, frowns upon the sexualization of underage girls.

So it's ok to ask your girlfriend/wife to dress up as a school-aged girl? The very fact that sort of motif is a turn on for most men indicates they all have desires for said type of girls.

What I'm getting at is women don't usually bat an eye if a man wants them to dress up as a schoolgirl but if a man states that he had an attraction to school-aged girls he's labelled as a monster...

So what's up with that?

    Think about the sort of schoolgirl costumes that are considered sexy. They are usually tight fitting ones that show off plenty of cleavage (aka something a real pedophile would not be attracted to). The appeal of school girl uniforms is that of a grown woman trying on a naughty/ submissive persona.

    Who can honestly say they wouldnt rather be 21.
    sure I have more money, security, drive better cars, take better vacations.
    But, to be that young.
    fit, super energetic.
    I dont think youre attracted to the young person..
    as much as if you picture yourself with them.
    you see yourself younger also.

    it's a classic case of a taboo fantasy, basically similar to incest or rape fantasies that many people have. the very nature of these scenarios being illegal and forbidden is what makes them more desirable and alluring, I would imagine. a schoolgirl fantasy often involves the female being cute, flirty, innocent, submissive, and naughty all at the same time - which are exaggerated qualities of most young girls.

    Nothing school wrong with a school girl outfit. There is a number of countries and educational establishments who employ the use of school uniforms as a rule. I sure love seeing schoolgirls in a uniform and i'd like to use one instead of my own clothes. I say it's bullshit man, role play all you want, it's your own sexual life and no one has got nothing to do with it.

        I don't have a schoolgirl outfit, because I went to public schools as my parents couldn't afford to send me to a private school. Even if I had ever had need of a proper schoolgirl outfit it would probably either be packed away or donated to charity by now seeing as I am 48 years old.

        I do really like preppie clothes, but haven't bothered with them in years. Regardless, these fetishes are boring. A naughty, submissive persona is not something for which I could ever have any use.

            You mean boy toys? Well, I would say the idea doesn't horrify or disgust me. I guess one could say I kinda liked that in my early 30's. Now, however, I would like to meet someone who is my age. I want someone to whom I can relate.
