  • Transfer deadline day. We've got Peter Odemwingie in. Good stuff. None of the pundits seem to be backing him, but I think he'll have a good season for us if he can hold in his temper. He's a hard worker who loves playing football and responds to a manager who puts faith in him like Malky has shown he will. A deceptively acute finisher in good form, and he'll have a whole new lease of life after leaving West Brom who he was long discontented with. Peter is a lad who speaks his mind and I think his Premiership experience will make him a good leader because we've signed most younger players so far. Not our biggest signing of the summer, and certainly not the biggest shock of deadline day, but he's a good talent with a lot of life left in him. He had a great run in 2010-11 and 2011-12, so I think if 2012-13 was just a blip he'll be a good player for us. Especially with Andreas Cornelius injured... that really is a blow for a sharp young player in the early stages of his career and a knock to our whole team, even if it isn't long term.

    Well you did ask.

    • Arsenal had a good result. I'm not an Arsenal fan i just didn't expect them to actually expect them to spend some serious money.

      • Arsenal have an incredible buy in Ozil. I'm surprised United didn't target him, since he's the sort of huge signing David Moyes would like to have to impress the fans. As it is he's only signed Fellaini, who is a good player but it always smacks of desperation when a manager signs a player he was working with at his old club. I too am surprised Wenger was willing to part with so much money considering he's usually so frugal, but I think Ozil is a top player and we're lucky to have him playing in this country.
