No, that's the kicker... Teacher was crazy and obsessed with the USSR. She gave us tests in Russian, we learned from old soviet textbooks with elements missing... Nobody born after 1980 would chose Russian as a second language.
To this day she prays for some magic USSR revival, where Bulgaria is once again under the soviet wing, we "put an end to capitalism and the degenerative western lifestyle" and everyone's paycheck can be the same.
With that said, nowadays I do understand Russian a bit, still can't speak it properly, but I have a general idea what's being said.
2 of the mechanics at the dealership are Russian, so I pick up new words and stuff.
PS: Whoever downvoted me was definitely a teacher's pet, way to get angry over something so silly. Straight-As in school don't guarantee success in your adult life.

I'm getting flashbacks of chemistry classes in school from 13 years ago... Doing tests in Russian, cause the teacher was batshit crazy.
PS: Sometimes I copied my homework from the teacher's pet, so mine rarely had red in it, but good answer! Original. XD
