  • Cunt doesn't bother me at all but for some reason I just can't say it. If I try to say it it feels foreign and wrong. It could be cultural I guess but I don't find it offensive so that's kinda weird.

    • I think that's why it's such a great curse word - no matter how you say it, even if you try to pass it off casually, it still has so much malice behind it because it sounds so foreign and unnatural. You know what I mean, cunt?

      • Malice? Nah.

        Friends is cunts.

Now if someone calls you "mate" in your part of the world...oh dear. Here's trouble.

        :P

        • That's actually a great synonym for the aussie way of life - take the most malice-filled word and use it to describe your friends hahaha :D

Oh man, we're all pals up here but mate crosses the line!

    • I can kinda relate...only for me, it's the word "pussy". I just can't say it without feeling ick. In any context.

I regularly say "cunt", in any context. Sometimes I slip and say it in front of my grandmother. She doesn't like that. She's unAustralian.

      • Pussy only bugs me if it's referring to the anatomy (not offended, it just feels icky to say). I can say it no problem if it means wuss/coward.

I'm gonna have to go on youtube to see some Australians talking. I've heard you guys say cunt all the time but I've never seen it in action.

        • Hah.. I forgot about that one. It's not really a term I'd use.

There's a range of different accents. I can't really think of any to direct you to.
