Random thought....if a fictional television show has a fictional show referenced in it (think "Itchy and Scratchy" from Simpsons or "Psycho Dad" from Married With Children)...is that show MORE fictional than it's parent show? Or are they equally fictional?

Wow that's a cool question. I've gone with more fictional because its fiction within fiction, therefore increasing the fiction for its creation.
More fictional, as you can't find full epsiodes and series' they're not real shows. At least the Simpsons is a real show in the real world, making it somewhat more real.
I had to think about this for a bit. I decided they're equally fictional. But I can see an argument for the other side, especially when the "outer" show tries to be believable, but the inner show doesn't.
I don't think there are levels to fiction and fact, they are absolutes. Sure you can make shows with facts added with fiction, but that doesn't make the fiction less fictional.
I would say both the same.
Or the one episode of Friends where they go back to highschool. Rachel has a big nose, Chandler is a hobo, Ross is a jock and the black haored chick is fat *-*
Well in my mind Itchy and Scratchy is more fictional. The Simpsons as a show exists in our real world. While Itchy and Scratchy exists more in a the fictional world of the Simpsons. It does technically exist here too, but it's not its own show with(I'm guessing) living breathing fans.
