Well, Winston Churchill once visited a place called South Africa during the Apartheid era. He was walking with a general Smuts. A black guy walked by and greeted them by politely smiling, tipping his hat and saying "good day, sirs"
Churchill saw that Smuts didn't even look the black man's way.
Churchill then walked to the black man, took off his own hat and shook the man's hand whilst politely greeting him. When Churchill, or C-Dawg, got back to Smuts, Smuts told him this:
"Mister Churchill, we don't do that over here"
Referring to the fact that white people aren't friendly with black people there.
To which C-Dawg replied (and this reply shook me to my core, love it):
"General. Far be it from me to allow a black man outclass me in manners."
