What on my ceiling

I always remember that when I was a kid(7or8), every night when I lying in bed with the light off I could see various of images on my ceiling. At first they were just spots but then I could see circles, stars, even heads of animals. They were colorful and yes beautiful from my eyes. I didn't tell my mom because I knew this was absurd and my mom would not believe this. I'm 20 now and still remember the beautiful scenery on the ceiling of my room.

Is It Normal?

    I used to see things like that all the time. It's just like white noise, your brain is trying to make sense of what it isn't seeing or hearing. Absolutely normal

    When I sat still and stared at an open surface, it appeared to be shifting like liquid. If I moved a single inch, it solidified. No one else ever saw this, or had an explanation.

    Or maybe your parents installed a light show in your ceiling just to mess with you.
