Yep! I did! At least someone here knows my "foreign" language! JK. I'm kidding! Some people would obviously know adieu 'cause it's popular to mainly women.
And which part of Asia?
The Philippines (which is how I know what salamat means, though my mother never did completely teach my sibling and I tagalog).
Me too! I only speak English. I just learned "salamat" by watching my grandma watch the Filipino channel on TV.
