What makes the star blink?

I read an article today about a star in space that is blinking, and astronomers believe that a big construction made by a super advanced civilization might be behind this.
What do you think? Are we dealing with aliens here? I`m freaking out! haha.

    The alien construction they are referring to is just the Death Star. Its located in a galaxy far, far away.

    Why would anyone even think of making a damn ringworld?? cant you just create extra planets and send them in orbit around the sun, if you are running out of space. Cool article though, thanks.
