Racism is really, objectively, based on the idea of supremacy. Whether you are Black, White, or Asian, if you believe that one race is superior to another, then you are definitively racist. Racism, being a belief does not always manifest in behavior and this is mostly why it can be so dangerous. One reason people become confused about racism is because sometimes, what people say aligns with what a racist would say but the racist and non-racist have different motives for saying it. For instance, if I say African Americans should not receive reparations for slavery, I would agree with a racist. This, however, does not automatically make me a racist. My reasons do not revolve around my feelings of superiority, perhaps I simply believe that we can't afford it as a country. So, be careful of people calling Donald Trump a racist simply because of what he says. If he states his motives, and they point to feelings of superiority based on race, then he would be a racist. As far as I know, there is currently no evidence to support the claim that Donald Trump is racist. The same thing goes for many people who vote Republican.
