What kind of feeling do you believe trolls here have?

I've just come across at least 3 trolls giving stupid answers to legitimate questions. What is it they (or you) feel? What do you get out of it?

    I do it to be funny, or just snarky and to silly or stupid questions. Nothing really negative. I generally answer serious questions seriously.

        You know that you don't have to make two replies to add to your first reply. All just have to do is to click the edit button and then add to your first reply. But then trolls don't understand that little function.

    Good trolls are not easy to recognize. But they are masters of "distant thunder" - plausible stories that cause people to feel a subtle sense of dread.
