So true. I wasn't allowed to go with my grandmother to pick our dog. That's how an elderly lady ended up with fucking kelpie cross...
Kelpies are an Australian herding dog. They are named after evil water spirits for a reason :p
She's 13 and only just recently dropped out of the puppy stage. We sent her to two puppy schools and two weeks at puppy bootcamp. She's still a jerk. But she's sweet and gentle and slightly autistic and a total fucktard. Very clever when it suits her and kinda a retard at all other times.
Haha aww, I just googled Kelpie cross breeds to see what they look like. Gorgeous dogs! It's so hard though, when you see an adorable dog, logic usually takes the back seat :/
My male just turned 5 in January, and that's still pretty young, but he is so full of piss and vinegar and I think he will be bonkers til the day he drops..which I hope is a long, long time from now even though he makes me wanna rip my hair out half the time. The damn quirks and cuteness are a bitch!
I have 2 punk ass pitbulls and the one, especially, requires a good deal of exercise, the other is a bit lazy but loves to get her game on now and then. My living situation kinda sucks right now, but I do what I can to make sure they get the exercise that they need...even though I just don't feel like it sometimes. Blah.
Ugh, my living situation sucks right now too and I feel so much worse about it because of how it affects my dog. I feel ya.
I couldn't even imagine having 2 pitbulls though! Damn, gurl!
I want another dog and I think about getting a massive beast to keep my little one in check (or witness the hilarity if the little one dominates) but I just don't know if I have the energy for it.
What kind of dog should I get?

Breed sorta does matter. It depends greatly on your lifestyle and activity level.

Is it weird that I like reading about your dog whenever you talk about her?

Awww thanks. You're a good person. Reading about your doggie is nice because I can see she's loved very much.

She would disagree, but she's a brat :P
She's taken to barking at us for any old reason at night. Tonight, she was barking because I wasn't sharing my chamomile tea with her.
But she looks so cute when she puffs her cheeks pre-boof :D

I just pictured the doggie drinking tea from a cup. Cute!
