There’s nothing like more American than a hotdog everyone wants to put something different on it for their own thing! What are they?

chili and cheese with or without onion is a classic. i one time saw my brother put a pack of weiners in a bowl and marinate them like they were real meat instead of rat entrails from New York's sewer system. I said hold on Brother . the marinade is more expensive than the hot dog. too which he said "not any more" .
Hot dogs are great among their natural peers- cheap, tasty, unhealthy foods.
I like them smothered in sweet, canned beans, chili and cheese maybe with onions, plain, or with breakfast carbs.
Regular dog, bbq sausage dog, beer fest dog?
It depends.
Usually mayo, ketchup, good mustard, and cheese.
But for a good german sausage.
Sour kraut and mustard.
Why didn't you add tomato sauce (aka ketchup) as an option?, that's what I have on my hotdogs and some added cheese goes great with it too.

I'm not a fan of hotdogs anymore unless they are kosher, because it's mostly really nasty cuts of meat. Besides it's mosty just fat, and barely any meat. Regular hotdogs give me indigestion.
I used to like chili dogs, corn dogs and hot dogs with mustard and relish.
All sorts of different things depending on what I'm feeling. Kimchi is nice.
I like Costco hot dogs with mustard and onions.
