Highly doubt that the 50% of you morons have IQ of 120-159. IQ tests from random internet sites(games-quiz?!?) don't count.
I did well on the Mensa online practice test ^.^ I took it a few years ago, is it still timed? The time pressure is the worst part LOL BTW, I've taken so many bogus IQ tests online that have given me ridiculously high scores, so I agree, don't trust them unless they're registered officially or something like that. I remember a capped one that always gave me that top score, it was way too easy though.

Some IQ tests are capped, maybe at 145, but IQ is based on standard deviation, so it has no "limit". A test might not be made to predict the IQ of a person of unusually high or low intelligence, but there is no "top" IQ. Famous geniuses are commonly predicted to have had IQs well beyond 175.
range of intelligence needs to be rated a different way. Need more of a skill test.
This poll is so biased... anyone who has an IQ worth mentioning will definitely post here, while all the people with noobish IQs (average joes) usually don't even bother.
Only 5% of the population have IQs over 120, atm it's way more than half of the votes...
IQ shouldn't change from the time you're born to the time you die, i think its how smart you can be if that makes sense, people with high iq's can come off as idiots, while people with low iq's may be more motivated to learn and be smart, keep in mind, i'm a dumbass so what i wrote is probably false.
Why would someone make mine a zero? That gets on my nerves!! And to the dude who said something about internet quizzes not counting, I'm aware of that. I'm not sure about the other people. I was given IQ tests by professional people. Whatev. So in 1997 it was 127 and around 2003 it was 135.
something i admit i've been fixated on; i was tested when i was some age between 6 and 10, and scored 120 exactly. at 13 (now) i scored 113. in the speach recognition portion of the test, i scored the limit; 130. iironically, i don't know what the score of said portion implicates. the overall score, i feal, is acurate, but only as much as necessary for my school's awareness. btw, einstine tested at 147.
I got 133 when tested at school... but seriously, the average IQ is 95-105, I really doubt that a majority of people have an IQ above 120.
In actuality there are people with I.q's around the 230's, highest one ever recorded is I believe 246.
IQ is a number formed from cultural standardised testing system in catagorising children and adults of their ACADEMIC intellectual ability. It doesn't test other intellectual abilities nor is it the correct predictor of how well they will perform in the future, nor should it be used across the world. An IQ number is simply another label. Labels are stupid. It is suggested that it's better for children to NOT be exposed to IQ testing because if they were they would either become egotistical or their self esteem would lower.
On a side note: my IQ this year is 114. My IQ last year was 157. From supposedly highly gifted to now average intelligence. Yeah, apparently I've become dumber in less than a year. Pffft. I don't trust these things whole heartedly anymore.

Actually took an IQ test when I was about 12, I scored somewhere around 127.
It was 125 when I was 14... I'm guessing it's probably around the 140 mark now, possibly higher.
Actually liquid intelligence peaks at age 11/12 apparently. So most people test the same their entire life. The tests change depending on your age to be able to predict more accurately, but you're IQ does not slowly increase, only your "crystallized" intelligence and knowledge does.
I'd agree with that. When I could understand the questions (some of the tests I took were American and it was difficult to pick the "odd one out" when I didn't know what any of the things were), I tested highish from 11 onwards. I peaked at 18 (when I took the tests under the influence of a lot of caffeine). Despite a flirtation with alcohol, my scores haven't really gone down, but remained around the level when I'm decaffeinated. I presume, with caffeine, I'd still test up to my highest level.
You can go to the Mensa website, I think they still have their free certified practice test there. Back when I did it, they could only send the qualifying test in the mail, but the practice test is a real test, and will give you a real IQ, just that Mensa won't accept this anonymous online score. Online tests are usually unpredictable, so unless you want to order one, I'd say take the Mensa practice test. It's timed, so be sure you're "sharp" when you take it.
had a feller tell me who now i see was full of it that determaning iq was a wee bit more complex the a multiple choice and something about if all you were asked to take is one test then you are average which is what you wanna be it just lets you know high low average are thats unfortunate average second test i think damn near noone passes. human instinct to seek those who do out and killem.if you do pass it you get into societies and other weird shit are something im a 2% type fella so youve wasted your time reading this thats my favorite milk
