The Cure is not emo at all. In fact, neither Depeche Mode, innerpartysystem, or She Wants Revenge. Most would be classified under electronic rock or new wave. And for fuck's sake, it's spelled "Depeche Mode".
God dammit Allistalla. Keep your grubby little fingers off of Depeche Mode and The Cure. You can keep your delinquent fantasies.
Wonderful! I'll pour you some, Samurai! Fuck, I emptied it?! Let's open another! Campai!!! *hits play on Depeche 101* sing with me flutters! "Poeple are poeple so, why shuld it be..."
First of all, I was exaggerating my anger for comedic purposes. You really need to learn to pick up on that. But if you're actually trying to seriously discuss with me, fine.
Expressing emotion in music doesn't make it emo. Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata is an incredibly sad, emotional piece, but if somebody ever called it emo I would punch them in the dick and/or vagina.
Emo music originally took the sound of early punk bands like Minor Threat, and the emotion of alternative bands like the Smiths, and put it together. Emo was inspired by characteristics of those bands. That doesn't mean those bands are emo.
It's really not a huge deal, but if you're going to make a bland poll, at least do it correctly.
I can listen to them if I want . Also I know that him and MCR and Cure was always considered a Emo/Goth band and I have heard same from every person growing up in the 80s thats why they make jokes . Also yes they are proboly under Electronica .
What is your favortie Emo band.
