What is your favorite movie of all time?

Yeah, just like the title says. What is your favorite movie of all time? Personally, I might have to say all of the Dark Knight movies. Can't even count how many times I've seen them by this point.

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

  • 'The Passion of the Christ'. Or 'Les Misérables'. Or 'Pan's Labyrinth'. Or the biopic 'Tolkein'. Or the massively underrated 'BFG' by Spielberg. Or Miyazaki's 'Howl's Moving Castle'. Or 'The King's Speech'. Or Burton's 'Sweeney Todd'.

What I value in these is atmosphere, symbolism, colour palette, music and the theme of 'unlikely friendships'.

      • Yeah, it was captivating. Who was your favorite character in it? Mine was Buzz Lightyear.

  • Top 3 in no particular order:

    Dr. Strangelove
    Happy Gilmore
    Emperors New Groove

    Runner up:
    Shrek

Back when portable dvd players were a thing (i was no more than 6), I used to carry your typical kid appropriate movies and tv shows like rugrats, scooby doo, and disney films, but I always had Happy Gilmore and Dr. Strangelove in the dvd bag at all times.

            • Yeah, I thought your were James Franco, and from what I remember, James Franco was never in the Hunger Games. I could be remembering wrong though, haven't seen those movies in many years.

  • The Matrix (1999) original film, just loved the action and sci-fi themes, Neo taking the red pill and starting the adventure, the amazing fight with Smith and his goons, love story with Trinity and mentorship-friendship relation with Morpheus, Neo getting out of a falesly imprinted world to the real world, it was the last best film of the legendary 20th century of films, an escape for us trapped in the world of corporate slavery. Sadly Reloaded and Revolution the two sequels didn't live up to the original film. But Matrix 4 will soon be relased and will hopefully be amazing. I watched Matrix (1999) on theater when it came out.

My second most favorite fil would be Star Treak Wrath of Khan (1982), released four years before I was born, i watched it on VHS in the 90s and it till this day to me is the best Star Treak film.

I also enjoyed the Dark Knight Trilogy Batman Begins, the Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises.

Lastly, I would say Bound 1996, it was directed by the directors of Matrix, a crime thriller and very hot lesbian content (am a straight guy who loves lesbian things), it was also empowering for women, its extremely underrated and an ultra action and adventure-filled film that is definitely worth watching, I would definitely recommend it to anyone. The Wachowskis are the best directors of all times!
