      Bulbasaur is the easy pokemon to start with, as grass beats both rock and water, but the thinking man always starts with the water type, because not only does water beat fire, but the vast majority of water pokemon also learn ice type moves which are effective against grass and Blastoise had an amazing speed stat in gen 1.

    Once you had a Gengar on your team you were basically unstoppable in Gen 1. Electabuzz a close second. Such an underrated electric type.

        I got mine from a truck beside the S.S. Anne by moving it with strength. It was carrying a mew ball and mine happened to be shiny on the first try, that never happens 😃
