I would say Clarke and Lex, but Lex is cooler when he becomes evil and is no longer in need of any friends. Lex is a villan and it chapped my ass seing everyone walk allover him when he was nice, in the first few seasons of Smallville.
I realise that Sam and Dean in Supernatural are brothers, but they're friends too. They're constantly putting their asses on the line for one another and I think its nice to see family that cares so much about eachother, even if it is only in a tv series.
I very much agree with you on Clarke and Lex and glad to see you mention them. It is one of those relationships that could of been the best friendship or greatest rivalry. No middle ground and it ended up being the latter
