What is your favorite extreme sport?

I'm in love with longboarding, even though I've almost died from it,it's my favorite extreme sport and it will always be!

Longboarding is a great and cheap way to get some adrenaline rush, feel the wind blow on your face while being carried with awesomeness downhill.Intense joy included.

What about your favorite sport? :>

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

Ironically u remind me of a story I wrote in 8th grade for my creative writing class. It had hordes of gummy bear warriors, abused monkey slaves, and the to smartest girls in our class as evil super villains duo.... haha I was a weird kid

  • I like rock climbing but then again it's the only extreme sport I've ever really done.

  • I used to love watching BMX and FMX on the Extreme Sports Channel. Extreme sports are the reason for the "180" in my username - it's half of a full rotation on a skateboard or a bike. I've never been very good. I thought about getting into free-running once, but I never dedicated the time to it to really get started.

      • Freestyle motocross :P

This sort of thing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLtRW_7_piY Only ten years before that, they thought a single backflip was completely impossible on a full-size motocross bike. Then it became commonplace in every motocross competition. Then, the *double* backflip became just about possible. In less than ten years. Such an outrageously fast increase in standards isn't because of new technology to make things easier (like you might get in swimming or cycling or running), or changes in the rules. It's because the people in the sport are completely dedicated to pushing boundaries despite the huge danger to their own health. Travis Pastrana's double backflip is one of the best things I've ever seen in a sport that isn't our football :D

        • Pastrana pretty much made a ton of achievements before moving to NASCAR and I give props to the guy, I could watch the run when he did the double backflip countless times on endless loop, haha!

    • I see a lot of girls long boarding here in bikinis. I think they just do it for the attention rather than true enjoyment though. Either way I enjoy it!

  • I was pretty good at plate-spinning before my doctor told me to stop.

  • Bungee jumping is pretty much the only thing I've liked out of these. Would be cool trying skydiving though.

  • I actually use to skateboard but all these other sports sound like something I would love to try.

  • I don't know if this qualifies as an extreme sport (probably more along the lines of unorthodox), but chess boxing is my favorite.
