Okay so why do autistics behave the way they do , what is it in them that is so different than us ?

So I noticed that every choice said "something wrong". There isn't any wrong with us. We see the world a different way, and we think differently from other people. We aren't freaks and there's nothing wrong with autistics. Stop being so ignorant.
Wow, this is unbareably ignorant. There's nothing "wrong" with those who are Autistic. I actually find them quite interesting. They can see things in a whole new light; maybe you should try to be more like them, see things differently.
There's nothing "wrong" with autistic people, they are just different, but aren't we all?
Anyway, they are different psychologically and not all are at the same degree of autism. Traits include inability to relate to others, over-emotional responses to minor errors, and advanced academic prowess (namely mathematics and science). Sometimes people with autism dislike and/or can't understand abstract concepts, and are better with numbers and equations.
Ultimately though, labels like "autistic" are just ways to define people based on specific traits they have. Perhaps most people could be considered autistic to some degree.
Pretty shallow of you to make one of the options; I hate autistics. You might have not meant any harm by this question, but you probably could've worded it differently, or you could've just looked under google what you really wanted to know about autism. Some people might find this offensive. Its not like it was their choice, and I wouldn't consider their differences as being something wrong. There is nothing wrong with them being different. They're people just like everyone else.

yea but if there is nothing wrong then why do they portray them in movies as those disabled individuals , like "rain man " or "My name is Sam" ?, unless they are the low functioning ones , and why is it always in the movies they are males , i never see an autistic female in a movie .
I have a private theory that they're human contributors to our evolution. I think we'll get a 'new wave' of uniquely intelligent humans, like some rare savants we have today, only without the social handicaps, and in higher and higher numbers. Of course, this is my fly by night gut feeling.
They dont have a theory of mind which means they arnt able to put themselves in other peoples shoes, they dont realise that other people have diffrent thoughts and feeling from them. I do psychology, fear my smartness!!!!! LOL

I've always understood that autistic children saw the world as we would if we met a load of aliens on Mars that were trying to communicate with us - we wouldn't understand their social interactions either.
I always thought they processed information slower and different.. I knew a little boy when I was back home that was slightly autistic. It took him a bit to answer questions or reply. He was the cutest thing ever. He even had a crush on me.
