Gimpstagram! I’m stealing that one. I hate that stupid website with a burning passion, it’s the all the narcissism of social media with none of the drama. Just a self-esteem black hole of lies and advertising that my generation seems to feel obligated to gormlessly scroll through for 15-60 minutes a day.
It’s a fitting name too, sadly it seems to have been deleted from YouTube but Other People’s Lives did an interview with a male influencer who was secretly a sex worker to afford his lavish lifestyle, as were many of his Instagram peers. Not that all sex workers are gimps of course but everyone who thinks Instagram is reality certainly is.
Remember that bot programmers, media platform data miners, and cyperspace echo chamber delusionists of all types get paid to make real life look like Donald Trump's magic Mirror-On-The-Wall. Sadly, Ms CD is confirming that real life just isn't fun anymore.
Actually, the sad fact she raises is why I hang out here. BONUS. In cyberspace, nobody has to worry about other people's bad breath.
