Not too long ago I was on a bus in New York City. All the seats were occupied. A middle aged guy (late 40's) got on and as he was looking around for a seat a college aged girl got up and offered him hers. A couple days later, also on a crowded city bus with people standing in the aisle a college aged guy carrying a box of books got on the bus. He couldn't find an empty spot to set the box down. A young girl about the same age saw his dilemma and gave him her seat so he could hold the box on his lap.
I thought that was awesome! It surely wasn't the New York City that's portrayed in the news and the movies and the crime shows!
