I've heard a lot of dumb things, but I'll pick one that I heard recently from a guy that talked to me at Subway.
"Mark told me that you'd be eating spinach today."
"Mark" was the other half of his footlong sandwich. He was there for a while having a conversation with it, laughing, and acting like it responded back.
