Eh what can I say? I dont pay attention to backwater countries... sure ukraine is corrupt... and? Oh what you thought I thought every country should be america?
Did my previous point of getting the support of the goverment and the loyal people of ukraine working for americas benefit was just a bonus slip by?
Let me explain it out. We have historically picked the worst people to support in the past to continue our political gains. Ukraine is just another cog in that machine. Important only by who's invading them. Which just so happened to be russia.
Russia has given us fantastic details on how it totally incompetent when it comes to modern warfighting. We supply them weapons and learn from what it does to a military power, not people living in caves.
The whole situation made russia the laughing stock it has ALWAYS been in war! Your flagship got sunk by people who got a cliffsnotes manual of how to fire the damn things. Yet your media boasts that it can take NATO on in a real war.
Ukraine should be taken as what happens when determined enemies get our weapons. As you arent fighting actual alliance troopers that are way better than the scratch army that ukraine put together. Even then your logistics systems are ridiculous! And your air power extremely lackluster. Yet you believe that you are a superpower?
I might be out of the historical loop but GOD DAMN can I plainly see that "god emperor" putin really thought this would work. And it's that same hubris that's preventing him from pulling out.
10k in less than a year. Still jesus. Be better at war if you want to wage it.
Didnt change anything for you. You already thought that I was an american boot liker. So that just confirms it I guess.
I am an honest war hawk. Is the war in ukraine honestly enough to put boots on the ground? Nope. Is it worth spending my taxes on? Probably. If anything it gives us combat data which is gonna be worth it for a war with china. Because let's be real they are the real threat to us. Kneecaping you is apart of the game. Taking care of home issues while we have some freed up time to take care of china. 2 front war to 1 front.
What LloydAsher is missing is that while a war with China where the USA is involved is currently likely; It will largely be a naval war, with perhaps a bit of air force. It will not be the Army or Marines.
However, a air and land war in Europe between Russia and NATO was also a possibility. At this point Russia no longer has much of an Army so it becomes less likely. I agree with LloydAsher about supporting Ukraine for several reasons, including that they are essentially destroying the Russian Army and munitions stockpile necessary for Russia to mount a future war. It will take Russia several decades to rebuild - if they will have the money necessary to do so. But, that is something Russia has chosen to do believing that the short term gains in Ukraine will make it worthwhile - except that there have been no significant short term gains.
What is the main cause for food price increase?
