    Southern Man is a great tune but I know radio stations that would play Stairway to Heaven anytime somebody who was young died....so trust me Southern man doesnt even come close to Stairway to Heaven...thats like saying vanilla ice cream is equal to Christianity

        Stop some kid on the street and ask them if they heard of Stairway to Heaven and or Southern Man....I rest my case

          Okay. But we got a lot of old school replying to this post. So I'll withdraw Southern Man with (are you ready?) Cowgirl in the sand. Or even better: Hey, hey, my, my. from Rust never sleeps. Vintage Neil Young, dude. It don't get better than that!

            You are talking to a serious Neil Young fan and he is definitely one of the greats and I love the album Rust Never Sleeps...they are awesome songs...Thrasher, Pocahontas, ....but unfortunately none of the songs make the Greatest list...I might entertain CSNY...Ohio...but even that doesnt quite get there
