my aunt lives on an island. not a tropical one, but the coldest it ever gets there is 58.
until last year. last December, they got 2 days when it got down to 27 degrees (and it was almost 50 for me! that day) the islanders were so unprepared, most of the buildings had plumbing problems, many wrecks (for those that dared drive. (no one has a 4x4, or even knows how to drive in the snow. she pulled a couple drivers out of a ditch with her van) most of the houses don't even have central heat cause it never gets cold there. she was prepared though, considering she grew up and lived until recently in Missouri.
What is the coldest temperature you've been exposed to?

We don't need central heat here. We'll never do I think.
Yeah I live in San Diego. It's a freezing 65 degrees every day.
