A lot of people I know got their first tattoo before they were 18; as for myself I waited until I was sure of what I wanted to get anything inked on my body. I think I was 21 when I got my first. I'm glad I waited rather than tried to get any when I was in high school.... had I gotten the first tattoo I wanted I would've had an A7X deathbat on my chest rather than my self designed fibbonacci spiral. x.x
