    The source Wikipedia references, Snopes.com, in the article you referenced is a little more definite in it's conclusion. Bear in mind that Wikipedia linked this as quoted it: http://www.snopes.com/critters/wild/pleasure.asp

    In fact, the source that Wikipedia uses says that I am right, and you are wrong. While Wikipedia specifies that science cannot at present PROVE what animals find pleasurable, nothing in science can ever be "proven", not even gravity.

    Most science suggests, including the "trustable" Wikipedia source, that most animals do NOT have sex for pleasure. It can't be proven, but is generally accepted by scientists.

      Lol no... it proves that I am right!!!
      I never said they have sex for pleasure but they get pleasure by having sex! Maybe we are just argumenting far away from each other^^
      I say there is no problem having sex with animals when they enjoy it!

      Incidentally if you use the argument that nothing can (ever) be proven we will never come to a point because then neither of us would be right!

          The difference between "sex for pleasure" and "pleasure from having sex" is kinda obvious!
          They have pleasure when having sex but don't have sex for pleasure (except for bonobos, dolphins...)

            No I don't get it! Are you saying that they are not expecting pleasure but actually do get it, or what? I honestly don't understand what you are saying. If that is what you are saying, it doesn't seem to mean anything as an arguement.

              Hmm bananaface already said it but according to your original comment I know realised that my argument actually is no argument against yoru original statement that it was not wrong but rude... I don't know if I'd consider it rude but...

              There is a difference. I might have sex purely for the pleasure of it, that would be my purpose for having sex. Or I could be having sex in order to reproduce, but still get pleasure from it.

              Does that make sense?

        Lmao, Wikipedia is the least reliable site for information. If I wanted to I could create an article on something now, with no facts whatsoever in it.

        Also I read that besides humans, dolphins are the only animals that have sex for fun, funnily enough:L I'm guessing you of all people are glad to hear that:P

          Hmm the thing with wikipedia. It is that wikipedia is checked by so many people that any false information is erased pretty soon. Yeah wikipedia is open source but that does not say it is not reliable. Other than that there are other sourced which prove that animals have pleasure by having sex... you aren't adding anything I don't know and so far it says that dom180 is right, I am right and you are!
