What is normal?

What is normal? I ask this to myself everyday. The reason I ask myself this question is because the term "normal" is non-existent. We are human because we are unique. If we were all the same, then would be like robots. What I don't get is how everyone is using that term like it ain't no big deal. However, it is a big deal. By saying "this is normal" it somewhat closes our minds to the bigger picture. We go through similar experiences, but each experience will have different puzzle pieces to them. Additionally, no one will have the exact same situation as anyone else. This again, is due to the fact that we are all unique.

Anyways let me know what you think about this question

I love this topic! This explains my sister's life growing up! She got diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. So everyone said she was different and not normal. Well guess what! You're not normal! I'm not normal! Mom is not normal! Dad is not normal! Nobody is normal in this world! We are all unique! I don't want to be "normal"!

  • EXACTLY! What is normal for one person may be considered perverse or gross to another. Judging something as "normal" is only a person's perception of their particular set of values or norms. Why can't people be allowed to determine their own "normal" based on their own particular tastes and norms?

You could never know what is normal, you can only think its normal. Other people will define it as normal or not normal, therefore everyone has their own normal based on their opinions on different stuff, and piecing things together, to come with a possibility of their own normal.
    Everything you do is normal
But at the same time nothing you do is normal.

We all benefit from a certain amount of "normalcy" to maintain the living standards we have as a society.

Normal is what is acceptable to the majority of society. Or the imaginary line between the fracturing of light in glass and/or other reflective surfaces.

Ones "normal" can come off as inhumane for another. This is probably why I don't get society.
