You don't need to use scissors... If the pasta is dry it just snaps, and if it is cooked, a butter knife will do. Why would anyone bother with scissors when they're so awkward to wash?
I understand the gloves thing though - someone who can't wash their hands, is dipping into someone else's snacks, or is especially worried about catching the 'rona in a certain place, might just do it.
What is more strange to do?
