It feels a bit like peeing, but you can't control it no matter how hard you try. Depending on the collection method (tampons/pads) it can be more or less comfortable. With tampons, you don't feel like you're on your period, but you can still get cramps/stomach discomfort. With pads, it's a more or less constant flow, and pads kind of feel like diapers. Tampons need to be changed every 6 or so hours, while pads need to be changed every 2-3 depending on your flow (amount of blood you shed each cycle).
