  • Pretty much.
Some women hardly notice it except for the fact that they have to wear sanitary protection, and they don't even bleed that much, or for that long.

Alas, I was not so fortunate. I tend to have an completely irrational meltdown 2 days before no matter where I am or what I'm doing, stomach cramp sometimes so bad I am clutching my chair in pain and crying, nerves on a knife-edge, skin break-outs, tiredness, and intense sugar cravings. On day 2 or 3 if I don't change my protection every 3 hours or so I can expect a nasty surprise in my underwear that won't come out in the wash. Sometimes that happens anyway. Keeping my bedsheets unscathed is a gamble unless I supplement the sanitary protection with tissue paper.

Also, I have weirdly increased libido in the face of all of this.

    So, not a picnic.

Ohhh and the comfort food! Can always tell when a family or friend is on the rag! They come home with bags full of cakes, donuts and ice cream, then stay in bed watching marathons of some garbage
