  • It looks like someone got their panties in a bunch over you. You should feel special. :)

Also, I think it means the sailor has a few not fans too.

    • If Hitler is a not fan, then I am truly blessed. Hitler was a monster with zero redeeming qualities, and a person of very low intelligence.

        • The ignorance on this sight is rampant.

          • Ignorance of sight? Or ignorance on this site...

What kind of gyspy are you?

Ignorance cannot be rampant, it can appear 'rampant', especially if you disagree with someone, regarding one matter. Thus making your statement(s) politically incorrect. Ignorance is failure to conform or heed to others belief system, on this site. As technically, ignorance is defined as lacking knowledge and information; which coincides with perspective, insight or simply 'stubborn-like' views, be it ideological, or sociological.

I'm halfheartedly saying this, to be over-analytical. It makes previous comment-war humorous.

In other news, a gypsy will always be a term for a "wanderer", regardless of olden terminology or current. Wanderers, people who refuse to accept one place as sufficient experience, when there is a whole world to see. One who will embrace the idea of discovery, without permanence and just one place to reside. I do know "one". She's currently states upon states into her journey.

            • Thank you. I appreciate that ONE other person on this site can actually use a dictionary (which the Wiki sites are not) to find the definition of such a simple word as gypsy. There was never a thought about the Romani in my screen name.
The ignorance I was referring to was the inability of so many to use a simple dictionary, and divine the correct meaning of the word gypsy, in this context. Rampant, as defined in the dictionary, however, is; "used to describe something that is very common", which is how I see the ignorance in general, on this site. It has been pointed out to me repeatedly that the majority of users are 12 to 15 year olds, and I should give them a bit of slack. Of course, they shouldn't be on here, so I often forget.
As you have no doubt noticed over the last 4 months, many IIN members have at the most "one place as sufficient experience", hell, a goodly number won't even leave their homes or even their bedrooms. Just not the most erudite group to be advising others on their problems.
I've never been particularly interested in being politically correct; I'd much rather be forthright and direct.
So I guessing, I will remain one of the most hated contributors on this site, until I tire of it all.
Until then, thank you again for your contribution.

              • I think some of the members here don't like you because this site attracts people who have issues and a lot of people with issues are over-sensitive and cannot handle any criticism, even if it is constructive.
The problem is when people think they're being criticized they get defensive and reject the comment. People do need to hear what they don't want to though because often they aren't intelligent enough to figure it out on their own. I've had to learn to tell people what they don't want to hear without saying key offensive things that make them not want to listen such as how I just stated that some people aren't intelligent. If I told them that they would disregard the whole comment so word choice has to be picky with some people or they get defensive.
You seem to have a lot of life experience and give good realistic advice, which I understand sometimes has to be harsh because pretending things are ok when they're not doesn't help anybody. You don't seem to be harsh just to be mean but I think some people do not understand that.

      • Probably, but you can't deny that Hitler had one wicked moustache.
