it depends on a few things... but I'm crazy enough to actually shout while running towards them. no funnier way to break a fight without risking an accidental elbow to my face again.
I kind of did this as a teen when a friend of mine was in the process of being beaten up by ~3 others during a neighbourhood footie game. except that time my reaction was visceral and panicky. imagine a tall skinny dude going all hulk running in and shouting out an assload of cusswords and threats. it worked though, freaking out everyone and making them scatter lol. we scurried off when the game stopped and two of them went to get their "older brothers"
