Funny. I dressed goth in high school, I was agnostic, and I went to youth group for the sake of a friend. I was bombarded that night, the whole time, until I left. About 10-15 people took turns hovering in a circle asking me the same questions in different ways for the whole 3ish hours I was there. "Why don't you believe in God?" "Why do you dress like that?" Over and over again, like they were asking until I told them "I'll stop dressing this way and I've found Jesus." I gave them a chance to convince me but they pushed me away instead. I always tried giving church a chance. I found God after I stayed away long enough. Still, not the God they were hoping for. As for the way I dressed, well I decided I could still carry my style while being mature and not spending so much time on it. It never really stopped, though. Now it's just hiding behind a 25 year old who needs to be more responsible and doesn't want any shit. You have to choose your battles more wisely at my age.
